Envision Energy Boosts Wind Energy in Southeast Europe

Envision Energy, a global leader in clean technology, is at the forefront of developing wind energy in Southeast Europe. Recently, the company achieved a significant milestone with the financial closure of the Štip Wind Farm in North Macedonia, boasting an impressive capacity of 131.25 MW. Developed by Alcazar Energy Partners (AEP), this project stands as the largest wind initiative in the country to date, marking an essential step forward in the region's renewable energy landscape.

This monumental achievement not only reinforces Envision's foothold in the European wind market but also showcases the growing appeal of its technology to financial institutions. The Štip project is part of a larger three-phase plan, ultimately expected to reach a total capacity of 396 MW. Once fully developed, it will more than quadruple North Macedonia's existing wind power capacity, playing a crucial role in the country's shift towards more sustainable energy sources, transitioning away from coal generation.

Leveraging its world-renowned large-scale offshore wind technology, Envision Energy has committed to supplying 21 EN182-6.25 MW wind turbines for the Štip project. Notably, these turbines stand among the tallest land-based units deployed in Europe, equipped with a hub height of 120 meters, which enhances energy production and project efficiency.

The project is strategically supported by a long-term sale agreement with an international investment corporation and will operate entirely on private financing. This commercially managed structure sets an important benchmark for renewable energy investments in Southeast Europe, illustrating how advanced technologies and sound commercial frameworks can unlock large-scale clean energy deployment.

Following the financial closure, the project received financing recognition from premier international financial institutions such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, and Erste Group Bank AG, Austria's largest banking group. The involvement of these leading international financial entities further solidifies Envision's technology's international banking attractiveness, establishing it as a trusted partner for substantial renewable energy investments across Europe.
