GAC Unveils Diverse Vehicle Models at the 140th Canton Fair in Guangzhou

GAC Showcases Its Latest Models at the 140th Canton Fair

The 140th China Import and Export Fair, known worldwide as the Canton Fair, kicked off on October 15, 2026, in Guangzhou, marking a significant event in the calendar for global trade and commerce. Celebrated for its 70-year history, the Canton Fair serves as a vital platform for international buyers to connect with Chinese suppliers. Among various exhibitors, GAC stands out with its range of innovative vehicle models, reaffirming its commitment to global expansion and collaboration.

GAC has participated in the Canton Fair numerous times since its initial appearance in 2012, making a statement in the automotive sector by continuously showcasing advancements in Chinese manufacturing. The organization has transformed its business model from merely exporting vehicles to establishing a robust global presence. This evolution is reflected in the company's impressive sales figures, which have grown exponentially year on year.

From 90,000 units sold overseas in 2024 to a remarkable 130,000 in 2025, GAC's foreign sales surged above 197,000 units between January and September of 2026—a staggering 138.9% increase compared to the previous year. With a goal of selling 300,000 units internationally by year-end, the company is set on a path to achieve systematic global expansion.

Showcasing Advanced Automotive Technology

At GAC's exhibition stand, visitors were introduced to an array of models, including the XT80, AION i60, and AISTALAND GX7. These vehicles feature state-of-the-art intelligent driving systems, advanced electric propulsion technologies, and high-end interiors designed for a premium user experience. Furthermore, GAC presented its energy ecosystem that includes ultra-fast DC charging stations, smart 7 kW home chargers, integrated electric drive systems, and innovative technologies that merge photovoltaic energy, storage, charging, and battery swapping solutions—all aimed at alleviating range anxiety for electric vehicle users.

On the event's opening day, a diverse group of international buyers from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, and Africa flocked to GAC's stand, eager to explore opportunities for collaboration and partnerships. The fair also intertwined with a vibrant Food and Music Festival, where GAC created immersive spaces that combined smart mobility with Cantonese cuisine, camping, and sports. Excellent vehicles like the XT80, AION N60, GAC S7, and AISTALAND GT7 acted not just as modes of transportation but as cultural ambassadors, allowing participants to experience traditional morning tea, international cuisine, and elements of intangible cultural heritage.

Pushing Forward with the ONE GAC 2.0 Strategy

As part of its strategic initiative, ONE GAC 2.0, the company aims to deepen localized operations while further broadening its systematic global reach. This year’s Canton Fair symbolizes not only a milestone in GAC's history but also a tribute to the 70th anniversary of the event, showcasing the potential of intelligent manufacturing in China on the international stage.
