In a major advancement for energy infrastructure in the Czech Republic, SINEXCEL is launching a state-of-the-art battery energy storage project, boasting a capacity of 6.02 megawatts and 16.72 megawatt-hours in Loket, Nadlesí. This project represents a pivotal move towards enhancing the resilience of the Czech energy grid while aligning with SINEXCEL's broader mission to supply high-performance power conversion technology across Europe.
The facility, strategically situated in Nadlesí, is engineered for optimal engagement in dynamic energy markets. It accomplishes this through a process known as price arbitrage, capturing the fluctuations in energy prices and providing necessary grid balancing. By doing so, it not only increases the profitability of energy transactions but also reinforces the overall stability of the local power supply system.
At the heart of this project are SINEXCEL's advanced Power Conversion Systems (PCS), each with a peak efficiency of an impressive 98.5%. The 1725kW PCS is designed with several key features that enhance both its functionality and durability:
- - Multi-String Technology: This offers robust battery protection while enabling flexible configuration options, accommodating one to eight battery strings.
- - Rapid Response Capabilities: With a 10-millisecond response time, the system can provide real-time grid balancing, ensuring seamless integration into the existing energy framework.
- - Robust Outdoor Design: Featuring NEMA 3R-rated cabinets, these systems will operate reliably in diverse climate conditions, ensuring year-round performance.
The SINEXCEL PCS also adheres to numerous regulatory standards prevalent in major global markets including North America, Europe, Australia, Japan, and China, which guarantees a smooth deployment phase across these regions.
The funding for this innovative project was secured through non-recourse financing from Raiffeisen Leasing a.s. on November 1, 2025. The project is on track to be fully commissioned by April 30, 2026. This initiative is indicative of SINEXCEL's pivotal role as a trusted partner for utility-scale energy storage solutions, demonstrated by its track record of over 5,000 deployments and a cumulative capacity of 15GW/40GWh.
Founded in 2007, SINEXCEL has established itself as a trailblazer in sectors including energy storage, electric vehicle charging, and power quality solutions. With an installed base of 15 GW of energy storage and partnerships with reputable companies such as EVE Energy and Schneider Electric, SINEXCEL aims to empower societies towards achieving energy independence and sustainability.
The Loket project not only underscores SINEXCEL's dedication to driving a global transition towards a more sustainable and resilient energy future but also reflects the company's commitment to supporting local energy market developments and innovations. As the demand for energy storage solutions continues to rise amid growing concerns about climate change and energy reliability, projects like this one are essential for ensuring the stability and sustainability of power supplies worldwide.
