The highly anticipated fourth edition of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) is gearing up to start a 100-day countdown towards its launch. Setting a theme of 'Connecting the World for a Shared Future', this event has grown to become a vital platform for fostering international collaboration within industry and supply chain sectors over its three prior iterations. The CISCE's establishing model and principles have transcended China's borders, playing a significant role in shaping global standards. This includes the development of the international standard ISO 25639-1 specific to exhibitions and events, which highlights the innovative merging of industry connections facilitated by the CISCE.
This year's expo will stand out with the introduction of its very first Artificial Intelligence zone. This pioneering section will provide a comprehensive overview of the AI ecosystem, spotlighting aspects such as data management, computational power, and various applications utilized across industries. The expo will showcase six key supply chain sectors: advanced manufacturing, clean energy, intelligent vehicles, digital technology, healthy living, and green agriculture. Attendees will have the opportunity to encounter numerous new players—both domestic Chinese companies and international participants—specializing in burgeoning fields like AI-driven robotics, drone technology, and biomanufacturing. Additionally, attendees will find established brands exhibiting the latest advancements in industry modernization and supply chain strategies.
In a significant shift from previous formats, this fourth iteration of the expo will also emphasize targeted collaborations. In lieu of the 'honorary guest country' framework employed in previous years, the event will introduce 'guest provinces.' This new approach invites foreign provinces, states, and regions with unique industrial advantages to participate actively, thereby encouraging more focused business networking between Chinese provinces, cities, and enterprises.
The international business community's interest in the event remains exceptionally strong. In the last CISCE, 35% of participants hailed from countries outside China. The event attracted over 40 leaders from Fortune Global 500 companies and 172 foreign delegations, all making their way to China primarily for the expo, reflecting the robust interest among international companies in partnering within supply chains and tapping into opportunities present in the Chinese market.
Preparations for this year's expo are proceeding smoothly, with nineteen international presentations already conducted to promote the event globally. Organizers aim to enhance both the share of global exhibitors and the number of attending delegations. Currently, over 500 companies from around the world have registered to participate, with recruitment phases nearing completion.
