Okayama University Holds Its 4th Asset Management and Inheritance Seminar
On September 22, 2025, Okayama University, located in Okayama City and headed by President Yasunori Nasu, organized its fourth seminar on asset management and inheritance at the 50th Anniversary Memorial Hall on its Tsushima Campus. This event was made possible with the support of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, which has established agreements regarding donations through bequests with the university.
The seminar consisted of two sessions. The first part featured Kazuma Koizumi, the financial consultation department head at Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank's Okayama Branch. He presented on 'Asset Formation with an Eye Toward a Comfortable Second Life.' During this session, he covered the income and expenditures individuals can expect during their second life, highlighting the classification of assets according to different goals. Koizumi elaborated on methods to increase assets and how to prepare for future financial needs.
The second session was led by Aya Matsuoka, a trust consultant from the same bank. She discussed 'Facilitating Smooth Inheritance,' providing insights into the processes and strategies involved in inheritance, as well as effective asset succession methods. Matsuoka's presentation was filled with practical examples, making the information accessible and beneficial for the attendees.
This seminar proved to be a great opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of asset management and inheritance across various contexts. The university's Academic City Fund Office is committed to continuing to host such informative seminars that serve public interest and support ongoing education in financial planning. We look forward to future participation, as these sessions are designed to be advantageous for attendees.
