SINEXCEL Unveils StellaON 1250K/1575K, Innovating Large-Scale Energy Storage Solutions in Europe
SINEXCEL Advances Energy Storage with the StellaON 1250K/1575K
At the Intersolar Europe 2026 event, SINEXCEL (300693.SZ) revealed its latest product, the StellaON 1250K/1575K inverter. This innovative device utilizes components from Infineon and is designed to meet Europe's dynamic requirements for environmental sustainability, grid stability, and lifecycle economics. The introduction of this inverter marks a significant step toward optimizing energy value through its advanced adaptability.
The StellaON series is built upon the concept of omni-adaptability, enabling the inverter to function reliably in harsh environments, demanding networks, and large-scale applications. Thanks to the EconoDUAL™3 modules from Infineon, it delivers continuous output power even at elevated temperatures of 55 °C, which is 10 °C above the industry average. This capability eliminates performance de-rating by 15% to 20%, while simultaneously reducing oversizing costs by up to 20%.
One of the standout features of the StellaON 1250K/1575K is its IP65-rated enclosure, which, combined with a corrosion protection class of C5, ensures effectiveness in extreme climatic conditions. Moreover, the inverter maintains a noise level of only 65 dB, adhering to stringent European regulations for urban applications.
To adapt to the evolving needs of the European electrical grid, including compliance with NC RfG 2.0 standards, the StellaON incorporates grid-forming capabilities with PQ, VF, VSG, and SVG modes. The inverter supports a 1.5x overload for up to 60 seconds, compared to the industry standard of 1.2x, while providing grid stabilization power in the gigawatt range, black-start capabilities, and enabling parallel operation of four AC/DC units. This not only enhances scalability but also ensures greater redundancy and grid stability for large-scale deployments.
Maximizing Lifecycle Efficiency
The true value of the StellaON becomes apparent over time, achieving a maximum efficiency of 98.5% at full load and improving the round-trip efficiency by 0.6%. This improvement will significantly lower the Levelized Cost of Storage (LCOS). Modular configurations allow operation times ranging from 1 to 8 hours, seamlessly scaling from medium-voltage (MV) stations of 20 feet and 2.5 MW to 40-foot MV stations with a capacity of 12.5 MW.
In terms of operations and maintenance, the StellaON features an innovative self-cleaning design that reduces operational costs by 15% throughout its lifespan. The inverter boasts a mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeding 300,000 hours, ensuring 99% availability. Replacement of critical components can be completed in under one hour, and a full power conversion system (PCS) replacement takes less than two hours.
Proven Performance in Diverse Environments
The system has already demonstrated its market readiness with successful grid connections in Vietnam as of March 2026, where it performed reliably under extreme heat and humidity conditions. Since then, StellaON has secured orders exceeding 500 MW in the first half of 2026 and is currently being implemented in over 15 projects across Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, and Africa. Additionally, the system complies with grid regulations in Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Romania, with certifications for Spain and the USA expected shortly.
