FANCL Initiates New Support for Menopause Through Innovative Campaign
FANCL Corporation has taken a significant step to address the challenges faced by couples during menopause by launching the "FANCL MENOPAUSE ACTION" initiative. Set to go live on October 17, 2025, this campaign includes the premiere of a touching web video titled "MENOPAUSE Talk - What Menopause Taught Us About What Matters," along with two new resources: "MENOPAUSE Talk" and information distribution regarding male menopause. This initiative is an extension of efforts started on October 18 of the previous year, aligned with World Menopause Day.
Addressing Couples' Silent Struggles
In a recent survey about menopause awareness conducted in 2024, the focus shifted toward the dynamics within couples. The findings revealed that many partners refrain from discussing menopause due to a feeling of being misunderstood. However, when couples engage in conversations about menopause, it leads to deepened understanding and helps alleviate the issues at hand. Thus, FANCL aims to bridge this communication gap through its new video and content.
MENOPAUSE Talk Web Documentary
The centerpiece of this campaign is the documentary-style web video "MENOPAUSE Talk," featuring a realistic dialogue between a couple. The video highlights a wife who shares her unspoken menopause concerns with her husband for the first time. Many couples initially avoid such discussions due to their fear of not being understood, yet the video demonstrates how these conversations can significantly boost understanding and emotional comfort, ultimately enhancing their relationship. The importance of discussing sensitive topics around menopause is emphasized throughout the film.
New Supporting Resources
FANCL’s campaign also includes the introduction of additional online resources designed to foster understanding and provide support:
1.
MENOPAUSE Talk Content: This new feature gathers candid insights from 100 couples about their personal menopause experiences. Capturing voices such as "I wish I had more opportunities to share" and "It’s easier to support when my partner communicates clearly about menopause," this content encourages empathy and lowers the burden of anxiety surrounding menopause.

Information on Male Menopause: Traditionally seen as affecting only women, menopause can also impact men. Recognizing this fact, FANCL has added information regarding male menopause under the supervision of Dr. Miho Takao, a gynecologist. The content titled "100 Fluctuations" covers mechanisms and common symptoms of male menopause, fostering awareness to better support one’s partner and close circles through knowledge. Continuing Advocacy for Menopause Awareness
FANCL invests in staff trained in health and beauty at its direct-operated stores to provide support that resonates with customers' needs. In an age where open conversation can lead to better mutual understanding, FANCL’s MENOPAUSE ACTION initiative is a beacon of hope for many couples grappling with these significant life changes. By fostering dialogue and providing resources, FANCL aims to ensure that no one navigates the journey of menopause alone, marking its continued dedication to both individual and collective health and well-being.
