Elementl Power, a notable player in the independent development of utility-scale nuclear power projects, announced a significant new appointment this week. Robey Clark has taken on the role of Senior Vice President of Projects, bringing extensive experience and expertise to the position.

Clark’s responsibilities encompass the oversight of Elementl's array of projects and the coordination of project management efforts with the company’s Licensing and Regulatory Affairs team. He will lead the execution of Elementl’s expansive 5-gigawatt (GW) project portfolio, including a strategic partnership with Google, designed to harness 1.8 GW of power, and a 1.5 GW small modular reactor (SMR) project that is currently in development in southeastern Ohio. Clark will be directly accountable to Elementl's Chief Projects Officer, Shawn Hughes.

Before joining Elementl Power, Clark served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Kairos Power, an innovative company specializing in advanced nuclear reactor engineering. His previous experience includes a significant role as a partner at the Boston Consulting Group, where he concentrated on enhancing operational efficiencies and facilitating project delivery in the oil and gas sector. Additionally, he is a U.S. Navy veteran, having managed nuclear reactors as an Engineer Officer and worked as an instructor for Naval Reactors, ensuring the safe operation of these crucial systems.

Educationally, Clark holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, and a Bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College in Maine.
