Recent data from the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) has unveiled a troubling trend: misinformation is driving approximately 16 million adult Americans to reduce or stop using sunscreen altogether. According to the annual Practice Safe Sun Survey conducted by the AAD, a striking number of respondents are engaging in risky sun behaviors due to misleading information, much of which proliferates across social media platforms.
