PreSonus Unveils Air XD Series of Loudspeakers and Subwoofers

PreSonus Audio Electronics, Inc. has launched its latest generation of active loudspeakers and subwoofers, the Air XD Series, designed for a broad range of applications from mobile uses to small and medium venues. The lineup includes full-range models with 10-inch, 12-inch, and 15-inch drivers, as well as subwoofers featuring 15-inch and 18-inch options. This new series aims to deliver powerful and clear sound for various live events and settings.

Equipped with a robust 1,500W Class D amplifier for the loudspeakers and a 2,000W Class D amplifier for the subwoofers, the Air XD Series also incorporates advanced features such as TWS Bluetooth® wireless stereo pairing, an onboard mixer, and DSP tuning capabilities. These elements work together to provide superior sound quality, making it suitable for DJ performances, live bands, and public address systems in commercial venues or events.

The Air XD Series accommodates various installation methods including flying, pole mounting, ground stacking, and floor monitoring, allowing professionals to achieve the precise control they require. Additionally, its True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Bridge mode enables users to connect two speakers wirelessly as a stereo system without additional cables, making it ideal for corporate events and parties.

Air XD 2-Way Active Extended Definition Loudspeakers

The Air XD Loudspeakers feature custom-designed low-frequency drivers and high-performance compression drivers, enabling them to reach a peak output of 134dB SPL. With an expanded voice coil for more efficient power handling and low-frequency reproduction down to 40Hz, these speakers boast durability and clarity thanks to the PEEK diaphragm in the high-frequency driver. They are powered by a 1,500W Class D amplifier, featuring onboard DSP presets, ±10dB EQ, and several mode switches for speech, music playback, FOH, and monitoring. Additionally, a 2.6-inch full-color LCD display provides intuitive visual feedback for adjustments, along with two Mic/Line inputs and an AUX input, supporting Bluetooth streaming and TWS Bridge mode for wireless stereo playback.
