Hexagon Agility's Landmark Order
Hexagon Agility, part of Hexagon Composites, has achieved a significant milestone by securing the largest single order for its Mobile Pipeline® modules. This order comes from Certarus, a leader in providing mobile compressed natural gas (CNG) solutions across North America.
Order Overview
The total value of the order is estimated at an impressive USD 100 million, which is approximately NOK 1 billion. In addition to this substantial order, there exists an option for Certarus to acquire more modules worth up to USD 25 million by 2028. The modules involved in this order include the Mobile Pipeline TITAN® 450 and the recently launched TITAN® 510.
These modules will bolster Certarus' expanding fleet, particularly in meeting the requirements of recently secured contracts for hyperscale data centers. This is particularly vital in light of the increased energy demands across various industrial sectors. The TITAN 510, a product of innovative engineering by Hexagon Agility, offers a 13% larger volume compared to its predecessor, the TITAN 450, making it particularly suitable for large-scale energy-intensive projects like data centers.
Continued Partnership with Certarus
Philipp Schramm, the CEO of Hexagon Composites, expressed pride in the long-standing collaboration with Certarus, emphasizing their joint commitment to developing innovative solutions that bridge critical gaps in energy delivery infrastructure. He stated that supporting emerging energy-intensive applications through innovation serves as a direct reflection of their focus on adapting to evolving customer needs.
Market Demand Insight
The demand for flexible virtual pipeline solutions is on the rise across numerous industries, including utilities and mining, as well as within the burgeoning data center market. In the United States, data centers are recognized as one of the fastest-growing contributors to energy demand. This surge is driven largely by the growing prevalence of cloud computing and artificial intelligence. However, as this demand escalates, the development of energy infrastructure is struggling to keep pace. In many U.S. regions, grid connection timelines can extend beyond four years, leading to a critical gap between rapid data center establishment and infrastructure availability.
This gap has heightened the need for flexible energy solutions that can provide interim power supplies and support essential operational systems, a need that Hexagon Agility's Mobile Pipeline solutions are perfectly positioned to meet. Their solutions represent the largest gas transport capacity available in North America and are designed to address infrastructure constraints effectively, enabling reliable energy delivery without dependence on fixed pipelines.
Delivery Schedule
According to the agreement, deliveries under this large order are anticipated to commence in the third quarter of 2026. A significant portion of the delivery is expected to be completed within the subsequent twelve months, with final shipments slated for completion by 2028. This timeline reflects the commitment of Hexagon Agility to accommodate the growing demands of its clients as they adapt to an increasingly fast-paced energy landscape.
Hexagon Agility’s successful negotiation with Certarus not only marks a pivotal moment for the company but also underlines the vital role of innovative energy solutions in meeting the surging demands of the modern world. As the sector continues to evolve, the significance of agile and adaptive solutions will remain unchallenged, heralding a cleaner energy future.
