DearOne Hosts Workshop to Enhance Amplitude Utilization at Renaissance

Enhancing User Behavior Analysis with Amplitude

DearOne, a subsidiary of NTT Docomo focusing on marketing innovations, has joined forces with Renaissance to host a comprehensive workshop designed to enhance the utilization of the Amplitude user behavior analytics tool. This hands-on workshop took place in Tokyo and aimed to empower participants from Renaissance's digital teams, including website and app managers, by equipping them with practical data analysis skills using their own data.

Background of the Workshop

The alliance between DearOne and Renaissance syncs with a pivotal moment, as Renaissance celebrates three years since the introduction of Amplitude into their operations. Over this period, various digital touchpoints such as the company’s website, app, marketing automation (MA), and customer community sites have extensively leveraged data analytics. However, recent developments—including UI changes in Amplitude, the addition of new features, and shifts in team dynamics—have accentuated the need for a more profound collective understanding and more effective application of the tool within the organization. As a response, DearOne has initiated this practical workshop series aimed at reinforcing analytical skills in real-time contexts.

Content of the Workshop

Structured for optimal engagement, the workshop covered a wide range of topics, tailored to align with the participants’ current proficiency levels with Amplitude.

1. Pre-Workshop Learning: Participants watched instructional videos on how to operate Amplitude and practiced independently to establish a foundation before the workshop commenced.

2. Instructional Session: The session included a briefing on the workshop's objectives and format, alongside a review of the pre-learning material.

3. Individual Work: Each participant conducted preliminary analyses based on specific objectives and hypotheses to prepare for group discussions.

4. Group Collaboration: Participants shared their analytical insights within their teams, engaged in constructive debates to establish a collective analysis strategy, and discussed actionable insights derived from their Amplitude data. The findings were then presented to the larger group.

The workshop featured a blend of online and offline sessions across three comprehensive meetings, promoting a seamless integration of Amplitude into the participants' daily responsibilities.

Feedback from Participants

Post-workshop surveys revealed unanimous satisfaction among the participants, with everyone rating their experience as satisfactory or higher. Many expressed excitement about what they aim to explore through Amplitude moving forward.

Respondents highlighted their desire to uncover transformative insights and address prevailing challenges using the analytical tool more effectively. Participants walked away not only with operational skills for Amplitude but also with enhanced perspectives on data analysis that could facilitate immediate problem-solving in their professional roles.
