Supporting the Unaccompanied: 6th and 7th Events of Shu-Support Community

Supporting the Unaccompanied: Upcoming Events in Osaka and Tokyo

The Shu-Support Community, initiated by Akari Hoshou, focuses on supporting individuals without familial support as Japan faces an increasing aging population. This initiative aims to connect various business operators such as medical and caregiving professionals, insurers, financial planners, and more, fostering collaboration and shared knowledge.

Following the successful 4th and 5th meetings, which took place on October 27 and 28 respectively, the community is organizing its 6th event in Osaka on November 27 and the 7th in Tokyo on December 8. Both gatherings will facilitate discussions and networking among industry professionals, continuing the mission of enhancing support for the ‘unaccompanied’ elderly.

Context and Vision Behind Shu-Support

As Japan's demographic landscape shifts, the number of elderly individuals without family support steadily rises. By 2050, it's estimated there will be over 10 million elderly individuals without children, with 4 million lacking familial ties. This numbers them among the most vulnerable and in need of help to secure essential services.

Akari Hoshou aims to combat these issues by establishing the Shu-Support Community to foster partnerships among business operators aiding the unaccompanied elderly. With regular seminars and networking opportunities, this community will work collectively on tackling the growing concerns involving isolation and unassisted end-of-life circumstances.

Conclusion

The upcoming Shu-Support events in Osaka and Tokyo represent a significant effort in supporting the unaccompanied elderly population, emphasizing collaboration among diverse service providers.
Participants are encouraged to join this vital conversation as we strive to create a supportive environment for all.
