On August 22, 2023, Minato City is set to host an important event titled 'Gathering for Peace: Youth Sharing Thoughts on Peace and the Future'. This gathering will spotlight the experiences of 24 middle and high school students who took part in peace study trips to Hiroshima and Nagasaki, two pivotal locations in Japan’s history of war and peace.

The participants, including 14 members of the Minato Peace Youth Group who visited Nagasaki and 10 middle school students who traveled to Hiroshima, will share their insights and feelings about peace through their personal narratives. This unique event aims not only to educate attendees about the impact of war and the importance of peace but also to inspire a new generation to advocate for peace.
