GAC's Export Volume Reaches New Heights with 133.9% Growth in Early 2026

GAC has recently achieved remarkable success in its international export activities, boosting its volume by an impressive 133.9% year-on-year from January to April 2026. This follows a robust performance in international sales, where the company reported an 86% growth in the first quarter. The accelerated expansion of GAC is reflected in its export of 70,474 vehicles during the first four months of the year. The company aims to export 250,000 units annually, with an ambitious goal of reaching 300,000 units.

The AION UT, GAC's flagship global model, continues to gain traction in the fully electric hatchback segment. It holds the top position in markets such as Hong Kong, Colombia, Uruguay, and Singapore, and ranks second in Indonesia and third in Thailand and Mexico. GAC's entry into the Australian market has also been met with enthusiasm, as evidenced by over 600 preorders within its first month.

In the Asia-Pacific region, GAC secured a total of 6,287 orders at the International Motor Show in Bangkok. Furthermore, monthly sales in Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Indonesia surged by 503%, 900%, and 338%, respectively. The successful launch of the AION UT in Australia marks a pivotal moment for GAC's international strategy. In Europe, the model made its debut in Milan and initiated localized production with Magna in Austria, underscoring GAC's commitment to the region with its slogan "In Europe, for Europe." After just six months post-launch, the AION has already made it to the top ten electric vehicle sales in Israel, showcasing GAC’s strong foothold in diverse international markets.

In the Americas, sales figures in Uruguay and Colombia have skyrocketed to 775% and 1,007% increases, respectively. To further enhance its visibility, GAC is also investing in sports marketing by sponsoring prestigious soccer clubs, including Flamengo in Brazil and Oriente Petrolero in Bolivia.

At the 139th Canton Fair, GAC received letters of intent for over 900 vehicles, translating to an approximate export value of $10 million. This achievement demonstrates the strength of its "Technology + Ecosystem" model. The 2026 GAC International Partner Conference gathered 700 dealers from 87 countries, bolstering its international sales network.

During Auto China, GAC unveiled its 2030 Strategic Plan, which aims to expand its reach to 120 countries and establish over 2,000 points of contact overseas. With a comprehensive range of propulsion systems across its brands—GAC, AION, and HYPTEC—the company aspires to hit one million sales annually in foreign markets. This transition from mere product exports to a deeply integrated global ecological network illustrates GAC's commitment to a future where it aims to achieve the milestone of one million units on an international scale.
