Rivasta Introduces 'Builders Point' to Enhance Skills and Motivation in Construction Projects

Rivasta Launches 'Builders Point' Across All Construction Sites

Rivasta Co., headquartered in Koto, Tokyo, has introduced its innovative point service called ‘Builders Point’ within the Kanto Branch of Tekkain Construction Co., based in Chiyoda, Tokyo. This program targets construction workers and is part of a larger initiative to boost motivation and retention within the workforce.

Overview of the 'Builders Point' Program

The ‘Builders Point’ service has been implemented to enhance participation in the Construction Career Up System (CCUS) and improve the motivation of skilled workers. After initiating a trial period, the program has shown promising results, effectively increasing the CCUS participation rates among construction workers. Notably, the introduction of the ‘Builders Point’ led to enhanced motivation and positive feedback from workers regarding their involvement in the program. Additionally, it promoted smoother updates on the construction management service, Buildee, indicating direct benefits to project management operations.

Background and Implementation

Tekkain Construction recognizes the increasing challenges posed by a declining labor force and a drop in skilled workers, categorizing these issues as vital points to address in their Mid-Term Management Plan for 2028. The company has initiated several strategies to cultivate and secure excellent talent. One of these approaches included incentivizing the usage of CCUS, which tracks the work history and qualifications of construction workers. Previous initiatives like providing vending machines that offered daily drinks to CCUS cardholders demonstrated potential but faced limitations based on site scale.

Recognizing the need for a more universally applicable solution, Tekkain Construction turned to the 'Builders Point' system, launching it as a trial in select sites for nearly a year. The flexibility of this system allowed it to adapt to various project sizes, thereby widening its reach and effectiveness.

Results of the Trial Period

The trial implementation of 'Builders Point' yielded measurable success, increasing awareness and usage of CCUS among skilled workers, which positively impacted participation rates. Through this initiative, updates and registrations to the Buildee service were facilitated, allowing the information regarding safety management and project specifics to remain current and accessible. Positive reactions from both skilled workers and collaborating companies reinforced the service's effectiveness, paving the way for a broader rollout.

Future Outlook

From April 2026, Tekkain Construction plans to deploy the 'Builders Point' service across all project sites. Yoshiharu Hirabayashi, Group Leader of DX Promotion at Tekkain Construction's Kanto Branch, shared insights on the decision to expand the program. He highlighted the positive reception from employees and skilled workers alike, along with encouragement from partner companies, demonstrating widespread support for the initiative.

Looking forward, Tekkain Construction intends to integrate safety activities into the point system further and explore data analytics by utilizing business intelligence tools to monitor CCUS registration and participation trends closely. The potential of this data will help validate the effectiveness of the rewards system while ensuring continuous cooperation with Rivasta.

About 'Builders Point'

‘Builders Point’ is a recognition program where contractors can award points to skilled workers as a tangible way to show appreciation for their hard work and dedication. This program allows for easy structuring of customized point programs that incentivize workers for their participation in safety training, incident reporting, and overall engagement in improvement initiatives.

Points can be managed and exchanged via a dedicated app, with skilled workers having the option to redeem them for various rewards, including PayPay Money Lite, d Points, Ponta Point Codes, and Amazon gift cards. Additionally, integration with Buildee facilitates seamless point distribution based on attendance records, tailoring the program to support efficient site operations.

Recognized by various awards for its innovative approach, including the upcoming IT Award in 2024 for contributions to social issue resolution, 'Builders Point' is also featured in the 'Service Innovation 2025' initiative.
