Free Outdoor Activities Return to Farragut Square This Fall

As autumn approaches, the Golden Triangle Business Improvement District (BID) is excited to announce the return of several free outdoor events at Farragut Square, commencing on September 8. Locals and visitors alike will have the opportunity to partake in engaging activities that promote wellness and community connection.

Exciting Schedule of Events

The events will kick off on September 8 with a special outdoor barre class hosted by The Washington Ballet. Subsequently, every Tuesday evening until October 13, residents can enjoy complimentary yoga sessions presented by certified instructors from CorePower Yoga, ensuring that everyone can unwind and stay active during the evening hours.

Wednesdays will feature “Farragut Fun Days,” running from September 9 through October 14, filled with lunchtime entertainment. Attendees can look forward to live performances from talented artists like Wytold Tolk, Cariel Coates, and the Mark H Taiko Connection, making lunch hours in the park a delightful experience. Additionally, participants can engage in lawn games, browse through pre-owned books courtesy of Carpe Librum, and even meet adoptable pets from the Brandywine Valley SPCA. It is the perfect opportunity to connect with others in a vibrant atmosphere!

All activities will take place in the heart of Washington, D.C., at Farragut Square, located at the intersection of 17th and K Streets NW. For yoga and barre class participants, it’s recommended to bring a yoga mat and a water bottle to stay hydrated and comfortable during the sessions.
