Anita Eno: A Beacon of Inspiration
The American Business Women's Association (ABWA) has bestowed its highest honor upon Anita Eno, the Founder, and CEO of Prayers Are Answered Inc., naming her the 2027 American Business Woman of the Year. This prestigious recognition was presented at the National Women's Leadership Conference held in Sugar Land, Texas, highlighting individuals who exemplify excellence in their careers, educational endeavors, and community contributions.
Anita's journey began in humble surroundings, raised by a single mother who struggled to provide for six children. Despite these challenges, she pursued higher education and became a mathematician and radar engineer. Driven by a passion for healthcare, she launched a successful medical billing company starting from her kitchen table. Today, her enterprise serves over 100 physicians and offers job opportunities to professional mothers, allowing them the flexibility to work from home.
Currently, Eno leads Prayers Are Answered Inc. located in Madison, Alabama, a company dedicated to aiding families and businesses in minimizing their healthcare expenses and general living costs, without compromising the quality of care. Her philanthropic efforts also include establishing the Alabama Leading Ladies Chapter of ABWA in 2021, aimed at empowering women to connect, grow, and enhance their leadership skills.
Elizabeth H. Johnson, the Executive Director of ABWA, remarked, "Anita is an inspiration to both ABWA and women professionals everywhere. She has crafted a business model that not only supports working mothers but also fosters leadership among women. This award encapsulates the spirit of her achievements and the impact she has on others."
Holding the title of 2027 American Business Woman of the Year, Eno expressed her gratitude, stating, "This recognition is one of the greatest honors in my life and a responsibility to uplift, mentor, and advocate for women at all levels. My fulfillment doesn’t solely derive from my own accomplishments but from igniting the dreams of others."
The ABWA, founded in 1949, is dedicated to supporting the success of women in business through leadership development programs, education, networking opportunities, and national recognition.
