Kewpie Encourages Children's Curiosity with New Research Program for 2025

Kewpie Corporation Launches Freedom Research 2025

Kewpie Corporation, based in Shibuya, Tokyo, is excited to announce the initiation of the 'Freedom Research' program starting July 7, 2025, aimed at elementary school students. This initiative, part of Kewpie's educational content on their official website, is geared towards cultivating children's curiosity about food through exploration and research.

Fostering Life Skills Through Exploration

Kewpie believes in conveying the importance and enjoyment of food, which is why they are committed to Food Education activities. The summer break research opportunity is viewed as a critical chance for children to enhance their interest in food, which will ultimately cultivate essential life skills. By encouraging students to choose their own themes, investigate, observe, and summarize their findings, they gain valuable experience in problem-solving and creativity.

The Kewpie Food Academy not only invites research submissions but also publishes articles under the themes of 'Cooking & Eating', 'Body & Nutrients', 'Questions in Food Life', and 'Food and SDGs'. These resources aim to stimulate children's curiosity and support them in selecting their research topics. This is a moment for children to strive for growth and expand their knowledge horizon.

Research Details and Guidelines

Participants are free to choose any food-related theme for their research, whether it involves investigations, experiments, or creative projects. Students are highly encouraged to present their findings creatively and submit their work. Employees from Kewpie will carefully review and judge the submissions, announcing award-winning projects around late September.

Kewpie’s vision for 2030, outlined in the 'Kewpie Group 2030 Vision', positions the company as a 'Supporter of Children's Smiles'. This summer, through the 'Freedom Research', Kewpie aims to create opportunities to learn about the importance and joy of food, actively supporting children to pave the way for their futures with bright smiles.
