On June 9, 2025, the Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) in Fort Edward, New York made history by becoming the first Sheriff's Office in the United States to implement a prescription discount program known as Sheriff Rx™. This initiative, announced by Sheriff Jeffrey Murphy and County Board of Supervisors Chair Robert Henke, aims to provide county employees and their families access to affordable medications.
