CRASH GATE Unveils New Series of Japanese Style Furniture Combining Vintage Wood and Glass

Introduction

On July 29, CRASH GATE, a brand under Sekikagu from Okawacity, Fukuoka Prefecture, is set to launch its latest collection of Japanese style furniture. This new addition to the CRUSH CRASH PROJECT incorporates the beauty of aged wood and glass, designed by the company’s talented design team. With prices ranging from 58,300 yen to 181,500 yen, these pieces will be available in CRASH GATE stores, Sekikagu showrooms, and online.

The Concept Behind Japanese Style Furniture

The new collection features furniture that reflects Japan's traditional living style, especially from the Meiji and Taisho eras, before the widespread adoption of chairs and tables. It emphasizes a low-style living experience, evoking a sense of nostalgia with its elegant silhouettes that blend both Japanese and Western elements.

The design team aimed to capture the integrity and timeless beauty of Japanese furniture while making it harmonious with modern living spaces. The use of vintage wood aims to share the rich textures and unique characteristics shaped by time, expressing a desire to spread this beauty to as many people as possible.

The Showcase and Cabinet Series

Among the new offerings are showcases and cabinets that beautifully marry the aged wood's character with the transparency of glass. By incorporating glass panels in the side and shelves, natural light and artificial lighting are gently embraced, enhancing the display of items while adding a refined elegance to any room. This balance of fresh visuals and the substantial feel of the wood creates a sophisticated impression in the space.

Kiola Showcase

One standout item is the Kiola Showcase, measuring 885 mm wide and featuring two glass shelves. Perfect for displaying cherished teapots, trinkets at home, or pastries in a café setting. Its design also makes it suitable for accessory displays in select shops, allowing you to transform any corner into a special showcase for your personal treasures.

Asahi Glass Cabinet

Another product, the Asahi Glass Cabinet, redefines beauty and functionality with its four-glass-panel structure, ensuring an airy feel while showcasing your items from every angle. Finished with classic detailing, rounded legs, and antique-like brass handles, this cabinet offers both elegance and practicality. Its adjustable glass shelves and three pull-out drawers for additional storage make it ideal for both retail and personal use, elevating the aesthetics of any room.
