CNTE Powers the Largest Battery Storage Project in the Czech Republic



Contemporary Nebula Technology Energy Co., Ltd. (CNTE), a prominent provider of integrated energy storage solutions, has achieved a significant milestone by supplying its innovative STAR T energy storage system for the Modlany Energy Park. Located in northern Czech Republic, this project is now recognized as the country's largest completed battery storage initiative.

The integrated project comprises a 42.7 MW photovoltaic power station coupled with a battery energy storage system providing 37.95 MW capacity and 41.7 MWh of energy storage. This system incorporates 11 liquid-cooled CNTE STAR T-285 energy storage containers, each with a rated power of 3.45 MW and a storage capacity of 3.793 MWh. The deployment of these systems is a first for the region, demonstrating CNTE's commitment to advancing energy storage technology.

The Modlany project is connected to a high-voltage substation, enabling it to deliver rapid frequency response and grid stabilization services. This dynamic capability allows the energy storage system to rapidly charge or discharge electricity based on grid demands, effectively balancing the fluctuations in solar energy generation and consumption. By storing excess solar power and supplying it when needed, the project enhances the integration of renewable energy sources while bolstering the flexibility and reliability of the regional electrical grid.

Notably, the Modlany Energy Park transforms a previously unused industrial site into a productive renewable energy infrastructure.
