The landscape of healthcare is ever-evolving, and the aspirations of future nurses play a significant role in shaping it. Recently, a survey named "Job Hope Hospitals Survey - Which Hospitals Do You Want to Work For?!" assessed the preferences of nursing students graduating between 2026 and 2029. Conducted at hospital joint employment briefing sessions across six regions of Japan, the survey attracted responses from 904 nursing students who cast a total of 3,219 votes.
Overview of the Survey
The survey was conducted between April and August of 2025 in six areas: Utsunomiya, Tokyo, Yokohama, Koriyama, Ibaraki, and Gunma, gathering valuable insights into the medical institutions that resonate with the nursing students.

Jichi Medical University Hospital. Following closely, in third place was
Dokkyo Medical University Hospital, noted for its desirable clinical specialties. Local private hospitals dominated the category of appealing workplace atmosphere.
Tokyo
Tokyo's event, dated August 16, 2025, highlighted

Conclusion and Implications

The emphasis appears less on the institutional prestige and more on the alignment of hospitals with desired clinical practices and work environments. This insight could help hospitals better tailor their offerings to attract budding healthcare professionals. As the healthcare landscape grows, understanding the desires of future nursing talent remains paramount for both educational institutions and potential employers.
