Ubicom Holdings Implements Insurance Knowledge Platform at Asahi Life
Ubicom Holdings, a prominent player in the insurance technology space, has officially launched its Insurance Knowledge Platform at Asahi Life Insurance. This marks a significant advancement as Asahi Life becomes the fifth company to leverage this innovative solution, which is poised to enhance the efficiency and speed of claims processing in the insurance sector.
Background of the Implementation
The Insurance Knowledge Platform integrates vital information necessary for claims assessment in the insurance industry. Starting January 2026, Asahi Life will utilize this platform alongside the innovative Smart OCR medical invoice solution developed by AIric Corporation. This collaboration aims to elevate the workflow from claims submission to payment finalization, streamlining the entire process considerably. The combination of Asahi Life's claim system with AIric’s OCR technology will transform how receipts and medical invoices are processed, ensuring accurate data extraction and faster claims resolution.

The platform consolidates a wealth of knowledge—covering medical acts, pharmaceuticals, diseases, and updates on legal changes—streamlining what previously was a labor-intensive and time-consuming process. Equipped with a unique database of over 22,000 medical institutions, Ubicom's solution is building a robust framework necessary for modernizing claims management.
With the introduction of the Insurance Knowledge Platform, Ubicom plans to roll out its services to all 41 domestic life insurance companies in Japan, aiming to build a stable revenue base through expanded platform offerings that leverage healthcare data.
