Exploring Japanese Tradition with a Modern Twist
In a groundbreaking initiative, a student-led company named 『WATATSUMU』, dedicated to preserving Japanese culture, announces a unique workshop event titled
"AI Summarization: Traditional Japanese Experience" to be held on
August 22, 2026, at the renowned
KUKUTSU Asakusa Main Store in Tokyo. This event aims to bridge the gap between traditional Japanese arts and contemporary technology, encouraging young participants to engage with their cultural heritage while utilizing the latest AI tools.
A Blend of Culture and Technology
Built on the vision of high school entrepreneurs, WATATSUMU, founded by two sisters, takes pride in collaborating with
KUKUTSU, a company with a rich 190-year history in traditional doll making. Their mission is not only to engage children in hands-on experiences but also to equip them with the tools and frameworks to reflect on their learning outcomes through AI-powered summarization reports. This innovative addition is expected to enhance the experience of traditional craft with an educational purpose—fostering deeper connections to their heritage.
