Krispy Kreme's 20th Anniversary Celebration in Japan

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Japan (KKDJ) is excited to announce an exclusive event to commemorate its 20th anniversary in Japan. On August 8, 2026, a pop-up store called "Krispy Kreme on the Go" will be held for one day in two popular locations in Wakayama Prefecture: Nanki Shirahama Airport and Adventure World.

This special event is designed as a response to the enthusiastic requests from customers who have expressed their desire for Krispy Kreme to reach areas without a storefront. Previously, KKDJ has mainly set up shop in large department stores and commercial complexes, but this initiative takes it to schools, businesses, and local events—places where it usually doesn't operate.

Starting in February 2026, KKDJ began promoting the pop-up events through social media and its official website. The first events took place in Nagano in May and Kagoshima in July, leading up to the highly anticipated event in Wakayama.

Nanki Shirahama Airport serves as a significant gateway for tourists and business travelers in southern Wakayama, while Adventure World is a beloved theme park where visitors can engage with a variety of animals and enjoy numerous attractions. During the summer vacation period, both venues will be bustling with visitors, providing a perfect opportunity for Krispy Kreme to share its delicious offerings.

For the day, attendees can enjoy a special limited-time offer featuring the crowd favorite, the Original Glazed® Dozen Half (6 pieces), paired with a travel-friendly Pocket Cruller Plain. Only 300 special bundles will be available at each location, priced at ¥1,200, a substantial discount from the regular price of ¥1,560.

Additionally, Adventure World will host a Doughnut Decoration Workshop, available to customers who purchase the special set for an additional fee of ¥500 (including tax). Participants will have the opportunity to create their own unique doughnuts inspired by the animals at Adventure World, using original monaka (a type of Japanese confection) and a colorful assortment of sprinkles and chocolate pens.

This anniversary celebration aims to reintroduce the magic of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts to a broader audience while spreading small joys through doughnuts—an experience KKDJ refers to as "Little Joy."
