DRI International Announces 2025 Awards of Excellence Winners



On February 11, 2025, DRI International revealed the esteemed winners of the 2025 DRI Awards of Excellence, celebrating achievements in the fields of business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management. This prestigious recognition aims to honor professionals and organizations that have demonstrated exceptional resilience and innovation.

The awards were presented at the DRI2025 Awards Gala, held on February 4th at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Al Berman, DRI Treasurer and President of the DRI Foundation, emphasized the significance of showcasing the accomplishments within the resilience community: "This year's winners and finalists represent the best the resilience community has to offer. It's a great honor to spotlight their achievements."

Categories and Winners



The 2025 DRI Awards of Excellence feature various categories, highlighting the diverse contributions within the field:

  • - Consultant of the Year: This category recognized outstanding consultants who have excelled in providing business continuity solutions. The winner was Lisa Jones from Control Risks, with finalists including Javed Abbasi from GISBA and Quinn Einck from BDO.

  • - Newcomer of the Year: Emerging talent in business continuity was celebrated, with Kamran Sakhitab from Teleion taking the award, while other nominees included Raynooka Kabir of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Thekra Otayf of Mobily.

  • - Program Leader of the Year – Nonprofit: Janice Campbell from Tri-State Canine Response Team was recognized, with Johnathan Offringa from Cook Children's Health Care System winning this category.

  • - Program Leader of the Year – Private Sector: Abdullah Aldhamin of Saudi Aramco earned this accolade, with other notable participants such as Andy Lapierre from Frost Bank and Monica Sekhri from The Coca Cola Company.

  • - Response and Recovery of the Year: The award this year went to Gleneagles Hospitals in Chenai, representing IHH Healthcare Berhad.

  • - Team of the Year: The winning team was from Honeywell, showcasing their exceptional collaborative effort in resilience.

  • - Product/Service Provider of the Year: Continuity Innovations emerged victorious in this category, demonstrating their innovative solutions in the continuity field.

  • - Lifetime Achievement Award: Recognizing significant contributions over a career, David Halford was the recipient this year, reflecting his enduring impact.

Additionally, the Abu Dhabi Crisis Management Center (ADCMC) received the esteemed DRI accreditation of "Resilient Enterprise" for their exemplary commitment to preparedness and resilience, with the award being accepted by H.E. Dr. Abdulla Rashid Hamarain Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of the Response and Recovery Sector.
