Mitsubishi Logisnext at INNOVATION EXPO 2025
Mitsubishi Logisnext Co., Ltd. will be showcasing its innovative automation solutions at the International Logistics Comprehensive Exhibition 2025, also known as the 4th INNOVATION EXPO, taking place at Tokyo Big Sight from September 10 to 12. This marks the second participation for Mitsubishi Logisnext at this biannual event.
The theme for this year’s exhibition is “Are you giving up on automation? Why not start automating forklift operations?” The highlight will be live demonstrations of the PLATTER Auto S, an automated forklift integrating Mitsubishi Heavy Industries’ advanced automation technology, ΣSynX. The robot is a result of years of digital innovation aimed at revolutionizing logistics operations.
Introducing SynfoX
The technology called SynfoX has been developed under the ΣSynX digital innovation brand by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The PLATTER Auto S will follow the prototype exhibited at the 16th International Logistics Comprehensive Exhibition in September 2024. The product is expected to launch commercially in 2025, emphasizing the importance of automation in addressing the ongoing labor shortages and increasing workloads that plague the logistics industry.
Since its introduction in 1958, the PLATTER series has become synonymous with safety, usability, and energy efficiency, proving vital in numerous logistics operations. With the increased demand for efficiency due to the labor crunch, Mitsubishi Logisnext has responded by developing the PLATTER Auto S, continuing its legacy of innovation after creating the world's first automated forklift back in 1971.
Highlighting Automation Benefits
At the expo, Mitsubishi Logisnext will recreate typical tasks performed by human-operated forklifts using the PLATTER Auto S. Attendees can expect immersive demonstrations that will showcase the ease and efficiency of automation through simulated environments. The company aims to provide a tangible experience of automation benefits to visitors by comparing operations pre- and post-implementation.
During presentations, the PLATTER Auto S will also be in action, showcasing its capabilities from inbound logistics to quality inspection, storage, and outbound activities. The demonstrations will cater to a wide array of logistics processes, reinforcing the viability of automated and autonomous solutions in modern warehouse operations.
Furthermore, the booth will feature automated systems for truck loading and advanced automation technologies specifically designed for cold storage. Visitors will also get insights into safety and security support options crucial for current logistics needs, accessible via monitor displays.
Commitment to Innovation
Mitsubishi Logisnext remains committed to leveraging its pioneering technical prowess as a comprehensive logistics equipment manufacturer by focusing on product development that addresses the challenges faced by the logistics sector. The company aims to continue providing innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiencies in logistics.
