OpenSSF Welcomes New Members and Presents Golden Egg Award
On June 26, 2025, the Open Source Security Foundation (OpenSSF) celebrated its annual Community Days North America by welcoming six new members from various tech and security companies. This event highlights the foundation's ongoing commitment to bolster open source software (OSS) security and establishes new partnerships aimed at enhancing collaboration and sharing best practices.
OpenSSF, operated under the Linux Foundation, is dedicated to sustainably improving the security of OSS. The new members include notable companies such as Balena, Buildkite, Canonical, Trace Machina, and Triam Security, alongside the Erlang Ecosystem Foundation as an associate member. Steve Fernandez, General Manager of OpenSSF, expressed excitement over the new additions, emphasizing the importance of collective action in strengthening security across interconnected technologies.
