In a major development for commuters in the Tama area, a seamless lost item search service is set to launch on August 19, 2026. This initiative is spearheaded by Find, Inc., the company behind the cloud-based lost item solution 'Find Cloud.' With this expansion, the lost item inquiry network has grown to include four new participants: Keio Railway, Nishi Tokyo Bus, Tama Urban Monorail, and Tachikawa Bus. The collaboration among various transportation services will vastly improve the chances of recovering lost items while also alleviating the hassle for commuters.
Previously, individuals who lost items often had to contact each service provider individually, making the process laborious and time-consuming. Find Chat was introduced in December 2025 as a comprehensive search service that allows users to submit inquiries about their lost items across multiple transportation companies and venues with just one request. By simply selecting the possible locations where the item might have been lost, users can receive responses swiftly from the operators who perform the cross-checking. This provides significant relief to both the item owners and the service providers.
As of the launch date, the Find Chat network will encompass a total of 39 service providers nationwide. This initiative promises to reduce the burden on both parties and facilitate a smooth return process for lost items.
List of Participating Companies in the Cross-Search Service (As of August 19)
