A Focus on Global Energy Transition
With a growing emphasis on clean energy technologies, KEY 2026 promises to be a key player in shaping industry narratives and fostering collaborative efforts in energy transition. As stated by Alessandra Astolfi, Global Exhibition Director of IEG’s Green Technology Division, the expo seeks to solidify Europe's role as a reference platform for global energy transition. This year’s event is expected to enhance participation levels, content quality, and the exchange of strategic strategies essential for a sustainable future.
The expo will welcome 500 buyers and delegations from 50 countries, made possible through collaborations with the ITA Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI). Notably, a Japanese delegation will also be present, underscoring the international scope of the event and the collaborative spirit of the hydrogen partnership with Italy.
Diverse Exhibitors and Innovative Themes
Across 24 halls covering an impressive 125,000 square meters, seven critical product categories will be prominently showcased: solar, wind, hydrogen, energy efficiency, energy storage systems, electromobility, and sustainable cities. This diversity underscores the event's expansive offerings, catering to varied interests and needs within the industry.
Moreover, the expo is set to feature 150 events focusing on financing models to support the energy transition, emphasizing the importance of innovative solutions for managing energy costs. One of the key themes will center on Africa, as the expo aims to bring together European and African businesses, institutions, and investors to strengthen collaboration.
