CLOU Unveils Next-Gen Aqua-E261 and Aqua-X261 at Solar Energy Expo Warsaw, Wins Award

CLOU Unveils Next-Gen Aqua-E261 and Aqua-X261 at Solar Energy Expo Warsaw

CLOU Electronics, a tier-1 provider of energy storage systems, recently presented their latest liquid-cooled energy storage solutions - the Aqua-E261 and Aqua-X261 - at the Solar Energy Expo held in Warsaw. This notable event showcases cutting-edge advancements in solar energy and sustainable technologies, setting the stage for innovators in the field.

Both products are geared towards commercial and industrial applications, representing the forefront of energy storage technology. They not only showcase CLOU's commitment to innovation but also their strategic approach to enhancing energy efficiency and reliability across various sectors. During the expo, CLOU also revealed their Aqua-C3.0 series, which focuses on utility-scale liquid-cooled energy storage.

Recognition for Innovation

At the exhibition, CLOU was honored with the Excellence Award in the Energy Storage Category by the event organizer, Ptak Warsaw Expo. This recognition highlights CLOU's significant advancements in energy storage technology and their role in driving the energy transition within Europe. The company’s solutions help enterprises reduce electricity costs markedly through peak shaving, valley filling, self-consumption from photovoltaic systems, and electricity arbitrage. Notably, CLOU’s systems are capable of instantaneous emergency responses to ensure the continuity of critical operations.

However, the energy storage sector faces several challenges. These include the need to eliminate revenue bottlenecks, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen safety measures, which CLOU is actively addressing through their innovative products.

Aqua-E261 and Aqua-X261 Storage Systems

The Aqua-E261 and Aqua-X261 systems are flagship models of CLOU's liquid-cooled energy storage series. Equipped with 314 Ah battery cells and a storage capacity of up to 261 kWh, both systems meet IEC, UN, and CE standards for safety, ensuring reliable operation. The Aqua-X261 is particularly notable as CLOU's first integrated PV and energy storage solution, with optional 120 kW PV and STS modules available.

Comprehensive Safety Features

Both storage systems incorporate a four-tier overcurrent protection system within their electrical circuit, enabling precise and rapid shut-off across battery packs, clusters, PCS, and control cabinets. Furthermore, CLOU integrates a three-level thermal safety design that incorporates early warning systems, exhaust ventilation, and fire protection, allowing for proactive interventions before thermal runaway incidents occur. Active ventilation, combined with fire suppression at the cabinet level, further safeguards adjacent equipment.

Real-time data from AI Smart Monitoring provides insights into cell anomalies and thermal runaway risks, helping to prevent damage during critical operating conditions. The European design guarantees data center-like reliability, utilizing local servers to meet strict regional standards for dependability.

Efficiency and Longevity

In terms of efficiency, the systems demonstrate excellent thermal management - maintaining a temperature differential of ≤ 2.5 °C across battery packs and cells, which extends the overall lifecycle of the systems by up to two years under typical usage patterns. The proprietary AI temperature control technology utilized by CLOU reduces auxiliary energy consumption by 30% with minimal static losses, allowing for a system efficiency greater than or equal to 90% when paired with a robust PCS and an intelligent energy management strategy. Additionally, the standardized modular design permits flexible capacity expansions while on-site pre-commissioning can cut installation times by 50%.

An upgraded Energy Management System (EMS) includes intelligent operational and maintenance functionalities, alongside a smart diagnostics system that performs real-time error analyses, allowing for algorithm updates every 15 minutes, thus optimizing the operation for maximum cycling efficiency.

The Aqua-C Energy Storage Systems

Alongside these innovative storage offerings for commercial and industrial use, CLOU also unveiled several utility-scale liquid-cooled energy storage systems. The Aqua-C2.5, already in commercial use worldwide, has set benchmarks for safety, performance, and integrated innovation within the industry, fulfilling rigorous compliance requirements across North America and Europe. The launch of the Aqua-C3.0 and Aqua-C3.0 Pro further builds on the core technologies of the Aqua-C2.5, adapting to the current trends toward high-capacity storage. The Aqua-C3.0 boasts a high-density battery cell offering a capacity of 6.25 MWh per single cabinet, while the Aqua-C3.0 Pro combines advanced cooling and balancing technologies to achieve capacities as high as 7.354 MWh in a single unit.

Global Expansion and Future Outlook

CLOU’s energy storage solutions are not just limited to Europe; the company has established a strong presence in diverse markets, exceeding 1.5 GWh in cumulative contracts for large projects across several European nations, including Greece and Romania. As CLOU enhances its capacity and accelerates its global expansion, the backing of the Midea Group, which established its New Energy Division in December 2025, is set to bolster CLOU's R&D and market growth, reinforcing its position as a leader in energy storage technology.

CLOU's commitment to empowering energy solutions marks a pivotal moment for the company, promising to drive greater efficiency and innovation that resonates well beyond its current portfolio, paving the way for future advancements in energy storage and sustainability internationally.
