HOUSTON — In a strategic move to enhance its legacy in the energy industry, GB Connections has appointed Cody DeHart as the new Vice President of Engineering. This step reflects the company's ongoing commitment to quality, innovation, and technical expertise that has defined their 45-year journey.

The announcement, made on November 13, 2025, marks an essential transition within the leadership team. This evolution began with the appointment of President and CEO Robert L. Kovar in June 2024 and coincides with Gene Mannella, P.E., transitioning to an advisory role after 38 years of remarkable service. As Vice President of Engineering, DeHart will spearhead product development, research and development (R&D), and quality assurance initiatives. DeHart brings more than 15 years of extensive experience in engineering design, R&D, and project management, equipping him with a robust technical foundation and commercial acumen. His previous roles include leading the design and commercialization of advanced connection technologies at Marubeni Itochu Tubulars America, Inc. and ALTISS Technologies, where he oversaw product design, testing, and global patent development activities. An alumnus of Lamar University, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is actively involved in several professional organizations, including ASME, SAE, API, and Engineers Without Borders.
