Imagining the Future: Fem Care Project's Special Event for Women's Day
On March 22, 2026, the Fem Care Project by Sankei Shimbun will hold a special event to celebrate International Women's Day, themed "Imagining the Future—Caring for Mind and Body Together". This unique event will take place at Spiral Hall in Omotesando, Tokyo, from 1 PM to 3 PM, with free admission for all participants.
This year's key focus is on "future," as the enforcement of the Act on Promotion of Women's Participation and Advancement in the Workplace has been extended for another decade, until March 2026. This extension offers an opportunity for individuals to truly prioritize their mental and physical well-being, ensuring that they remain healthy and happy for the decade to come. By fostering understanding and dialogue amongst participants, the event aims to help attendees visualize their desired futures and take meaningful steps towards personal and societal well-being.
The event will feature a special discussion between Dr. Miho Takao, a renowned gynecologist, and Mr. Koryu Shinagawa from Coten Co., known for its popular audio program "COTEN RADIO." Participants can expect sessions focused on understanding history to better understand the present and think about the future. Additionally, there will be workshops centered on cultivating new habits to better tune into one’s body rhythms and health.
In conjunction with this event, on March 19, street giveaways will take place in Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Marunouchi, distributing the March issue of the Metropolitanna magazine alongside "Kitomi-chan" sanitary napkins from 9 AM to 6 PM or until supplies last. Everyone is encouraged to participate and engage in these initiatives.
