The highly anticipated
Tachikawa Hoiku Festa 2025 is scheduled to take place on June 8th at the beautiful
Showa Kinen Park in Tachikawa, Tokyo. This exciting event focuses on supporting parents and children, promising a day filled with joy and insightful activities. The highlight of the festival will be a special concert led by
Atsuko Ono, known as the 21st Song Sister from NHK's beloved program 'Okaasan to Issho'.
The concert, titled 'Atsuko Ono's Pachi Pachi Rhythm Party', is expected to be a thrilling experience for families, tailored specifically for young children. Limited to the first 300 attendees, this concert is a wonderful opportunity for kids to engage in a vibrant musical atmosphere, fostering early connections to the arts.
In addition to the concert, the festival will feature numerous activities. Families can participate in a
toy, book, and children's clothing exchange, facilitating a sustainable approach to sharing and reusing. Participants can bring items they no longer need and exchange them for something new and exciting from the booths available, promoting a sense of community.
Food lovers will be delighted by the presence of five food trucks serving delicious meals in a scenic park setting, allowing everyone to enjoy a relaxing outdoor lunch amidst nature. Additionally, a
large inflatable slide will be on-site, inviting children to play and socialize in a safe and fun environment.
Families can also look forward to making keepsakes at engaging
craft workshops, specifically designed for children. This hands-on experience not only sparks creativity but also allows kids to take home a piece of their festival memories.
Various booths featuring information from childcare centers and supporting companies will provide valuable resources for parents. This is an excellent opportunity for families to gather information about programs and services available in the community, enhancing their parenting journey.
For those interested in eco-friendly practices, a special eco-car test drive event will be held, allowing parents to experience environmentally-conscious vehicles up close. This initiative promotes safety and ecological awareness while informing families about the importance of sustainable choices in their daily lives.
The festival's entry is free, contingent upon filling out a pre-event survey, making it accessible for everyone. The event will be held from
11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Flower Green Culture Center and Yume Hiroba in Showa Kinen Park, both easily accessible via public transportation.
This collaborative effort is brought to you by the Tachikawa Hoiku Festa executive committee, with the backing of the city of Tachikawa. It's an event that seamlessly blends fun, education, and community spirit, making it a must-visit for families on this exciting day.
