Delta Launches Innovative Microgrid Solutions at Energy Taiwan 2026 for the AI Future

Delta Electronics, a renowned global leader in power management, has introduced its pioneering Microgrid Solutions at Energy Taiwan 2026, focusing on the energy needs of AI factories and smart manufacturing. Under the theme "Resilient Energy, Powering the AI Future," Delta presented its innovative prefabricated SST-based (Solid State Transformer) DC power system, aimed at enhancing energy infrastructure to support the rapidly expanding demands of AI applications.

The new power system is designed to significantly cut on-site deployment time, potentially by 50%. It features an integrated SST, DC/DC converters, and control equipment, optimizing power conversion processes and streamlining energy management across various applications. Delta's solutions focus on energy resilience, offering modular systems that include on-site power generation through solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), energy storage, and intelligent dispatch capabilities to support off-grid operations.

Addressing the Energy Needs of AI Infrastructure

As AI technologies reshape business requirements, Delta's SST-based solutions promise to redefine how energy infrastructures are organized. Patrick Zhao, Vice President and General Manager of Delta’s Energy Infrastructure Business Group, highlighted that the combination of grid power, on-site generation, and energy storage within microgrids allows for real-time matching of supply and demand. The newly launched systems are a crucial step towards meeting the future energy needs of AI-driven enterprises.

At the heart of Delta's microgrid offerings is a focus on efficiency, with the SST-based DC power system capable of achieving energy efficiency rates up to 98.5%. This efficiency is critical for data centers and factories that rely heavily on constant, reliable power. The system's rapid response capability to load fluctuations can provide immediate support, ensuring stable power delivery.

Strengthening Energy Resilience

In addition to its advanced power systems, Delta's SOFC solutions are designed to generate low-carbon energy on-site. This technology allows facilities to lower their dependency on a single power source, integrating seamlessly with energy storage and utility grids to create a diverse energy supply portfolio. The SOFC units generate power through an electrochemical process, achieving overall energy efficiency ratings up to 85% when paired with heat recovery technology.

Delta's commitment to enhancing energy resilience is particularly crucial for industries that operate around the clock, providing distributed generation solutions to fortify their energy supply. The company plans to begin trial production of its SOFC systems by the end of 2026, marking another significant step in the evolution of energy management techniques.

Engaging the Industry Community

During the Energy Taiwan event, visitors had the opportunity to attend presentations from Delta's experts alongside professionals from relevant research institutions. Topics discussed included energy efficiency strategies and Delta's innovative consulting initiatives. One such initiative, the EnergiQ digital platform, aims to help enterprises implement energy management processes that comply with ISO 50001 standards, enhancing their overall sustainability efforts.

Delta's complete microgrid solutions can be explored at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center from October 14 to 16, where participants are encouraged to engage with Delta’s offerings under the banner of "Resilient Energy, Powering the AI Future."
