Northeast Great Dane Marks New Chapter with Grand Opening in Sutton, Massachusetts

Northeast Great Dane Celebrates New Service Facility

Northeast Great Dane, a proud member of Fleet Services by Cox Automotive, recently celebrated the grand opening of its latest trailer sales and service facility in Sutton, Massachusetts. The inauguration, held on July 17, marks a significant expansion of the company’s footprint in New England, emphasizing its dedication to offering top-notch support for fleets across the region.

A Milestone Moment

The recent event gathered an enthusiastic crowd of customers, vendor partners, technicians, and executives from Fleet Services. Attendees were invited to tour the cutting-edge facility, reflecting Cox Automotive's consistent focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, and enhancing the technician experience.

The facility, which broke ground two years ago, has already employed ten skilled technicians specialized in heavy-duty trailer repair, custom fabrication, and various upfitting options, such as liftgate installations. Plans are in place to grow the workforce to 15 technicians by 2026 to meet increasing demands.

Commitment to New England

Gerry Newcomb, associate vice president of operations at Fleet Services, expressed the significance of the new shop, stating, "We're making a major statement by opening this new shop. It shows our commitment to having a strong presence in the New England market. We pride ourselves on the deep partnerships we've built with our customers. The trucking industry is a relationship business, and even as the industry evolves, that will remain constant."

Technician-Centric Design

The Sutton facility complements Fleet Services' technician-first approach. It follows the successful launch of their new Parts Distribution Center located in Doraville, Georgia. The new shop features a thoughtfully designed layout, a retail store, a full-line parts warehouse, and 180-foot drive-through bays that expedite turnaround times. This design transforms the facility into a true one-stop shop for trailer sales, rentals, parts, and services.

Kurt Gustafson, general manager of Fleet Services, highlighted the pride the technicians felt as they stepped into their new workspace: "This is their new home, and they were excited. We set out to create a place that technicians would take pride in working at—and one that customers could rely on for dependable, high-quality service."

Embracing the Future

The grand opening of the Sutton facility is part of a broader strategy by Fleet Services to modernize its service network nationwide. As the company continues to innovate, it remains committed to addressing the evolving needs of its commercial vehicle customers by investing in advanced facilities and a talented workforce.
