HealthWell Foundation Kicks Off 2025 GivingTuesday Initiative to Assist Underinsured Americans

HealthWell Foundation Launches 2025 GivingTuesday Campaign

The HealthWell Foundation® has officially begun its GivingTuesday Campaign for 2025, designed to help underinsured Americans in need of medical care. Running from November 17 to December 5, the campaign aims to raise awareness and funds to support individuals struggling with high medical costs.

Established as an independent non-profit charitable organization, the HealthWell Foundation has a mission to provide crucial financial assistance to those who are underinsured. Over the years, it has been a lifeline for more than 1.1 million Americans, enabling them to access the critical medical treatments they need without the excessive financial burden.

This year's target is to secure $100,000 in funds, which will be directed toward assisting those who reach out for help. Last year, the Foundation was grateful to receive over $99,000 during GivingTuesday, which was promptly allocated to patients for specialized assistance like Cancer-Related Behavioral Health and Cancer Home Care Services.

Throughout the campaign, HealthWell will share compelling stories and impactful videos on its social media platforms featuring grant recipients. These narratives encapsulate the Foundation's profound influence on individuals' lives who have benefitted from its support. Additionally, the Foundation will feature relevant articles on its blog, Real World Health Care, to further engage and inform the public about its initiatives.

Michael S. Heimall, the President and CEO of HealthWell, voiced his sentiments regarding the campaign. He acknowledged the ever-evolving healthcare landscape and the enduring financial struggles patients encounter when facing chronic illnesses. According to Heimall, for over one million Americans, receiving a grant from HealthWell could be the difference between life and death or maintaining financial stability.

Heimall also underscored the importance of the campaign: “Through our GivingTuesday initiatives, we want to spread the word about our life-changing work and bring a smile and hope to the next million Americans who reach out to us for assistance. We provide critical financial resources so underinsured patients can access and continue prescribed treatments that may otherwise be unattainable.”

Support from individual and corporate donors is vital for the organization to continue its mission. Every donation made will go directly to helping patients who, without assistance, might have to forgo essential medical care. To make a tax-deductible donation, individuals can visit HealthWell’s GivingTuesday page before December 5.

Moreover, HealthWell acknowledges that not everyone can contribute financially. Help in promoting the campaign is also appreciated and vital. Engaging with HealthWell through social media platforms can create a significant impact, encouraging others to support the cause and spreading the word about the essential services provided.
