Kolmar Korea Launches Second U.S. Factory for K-Beauty
Kolmar Korea, a prominent player in the beauty industry, has officially launched operations at its second manufacturing plant in the United States, strategically located in Scott Township, Pennsylvania. This significant development comes as part of an ambitious initiative to bolster the global reach of K-Beauty products while establishing a 'tariff safe zone' that responds to current trade challenges.
The new plant, which encompasses an impressive area of 17,805 square meters (approximately 191,651 square feet), is designed to accommodate an annual production capacity of up to 120 million units. When combined with the existing Kolmar USA facility, the company boasts a remarkable annual production total of 300 million units within the U.S. This capacity expansion is imperative as it aims to meet rising demands in skincare, cosmetic color products, and sunscreen formulations, a sector currently thriving in the American market.
On July 16, 2025, Yoon Sang Hyun, Vice Chairman of Kolmar Group, addressed attendees during the plant's inauguration, which was attended by notable figures including state representatives and local government officials. In his address, he articulated Kolmar's vision for innovation and collaboration, underscoring the U.S. as a crucial milestone in the company’s century-long journey. He expressed that this facility is not merely a production site; rather, it serves as a catalyst for future partnerships with various stakeholders throughout the beauty supply chain.
