FOTON's Ambitious Strategies Shape the Future of Global Commercial Vehicles

FOTON's Vision for the Future of Commercial Vehicles

On November 9, 2025, FOTON Motor hosted the 2026 Global Partners Conference in Beijing, themed "DRIVE TO GREAT." This exciting event gathered over 2,000 participants from more than 140 nations, all eager to explore FOTON's groundbreaking advances in product development and strategic initiatives in the commercial vehicle sector.

Driven by the principle of innovation, FOTON introduced its next-generation heavy-duty truck platform, GALAXUS. Designed to redefine the market landscape for smart logistics, GALAXUS integrates multiple energy solutions, including fuel, electric, hydrogen, gas, and hybrid options. Built upon eight foundational values, this platform boasts a cutting-edge architecture for new energy vehicles and incorporates over 90 self-developed technologies.

One of its standout features is an electric drive system that achieves an impressive efficiency rate of 97.5%. This innovative system facilitates megawatt-level charging and enhances overall energy efficiency by 7%. Additionally, the intelligent driving system has been rigorously tested, accumulating over 2 million kilometers to facilitate advancements from Level 2 to Level 4 autonomy. FOTON's GALAXUS lineup includes the R9, R5, and D3 models, each tailored to different logistics needs, ranging from long-haul to express delivery solutions.

In addressing the growing demand for urban logistics, FOTON also unveiled DAYSTAR, its first pure electric light truck platform. Developed from in-depth user insights, DAYSTAR seeks to address key pain points, such as challenges with charging infrastructure and high total cost of ownership (TCO). The platform features an impressive 800V high-voltage architecture, advanced silicon carbide controllers, and oil-cooled motors, collectively achieving a 20% improvement in overall energy efficiency.

Furthermore, DAYSTAR comes equipped with a cabin inspired by passenger vehicles, full-vehicle over-the-air (OTA) updates, and has undergone extensive testing, achieving over 6 million kilometers for reliability.

Recognizing the significance of last-mile logistics, FOTON presented the Wonder Plus, a next-generation mini truck designed for enhanced payload capacity. This model is distinguished by the longest and widest cargo bed in its category, coupled with a double wishbone suspension system for improved comfort and handling.

Moreover, FOTON rolled out the world's first dedicated new energy VAN platform, CAVAN C1. This innovative vehicle is designed in accordance with global standards and features a pure electric configuration. CAVAN C1 incorporates FOTON’s self-developed high-safety battery, with a peak drive efficiency exceeding 93.5%. It also supports rapid charging capabilities, allowing for a range of 100 kilometers to be achieved in just 10 minutes.

Through this extensive suite of new energy products, FOTON showcases its systematic strength and future-oriented vision. With a fully integrated product deployment and an evolving global ecosystem, FOTON aims to establish itself as a leader while injecting robust "Chinese strength" into the international new energy logistics landscape.

The steps that FOTON has taken at this year's conference exemplify its commitment to transforming the commercial vehicle industry, ensuring that sustainability and efficiency remain at the forefront of its innovation strategy.
