Bright Power Strengthens Leadership with New Vice President of New Construction
Bright Power Unveils New Leadership to Drive Sustainable Development
In the evolving landscape of sustainable real estate, Bright Power has made a significant move by appointing Adin Meir as the Vice President of New Construction. Meir steps into this pivotal role to spearhead initiatives focused on sustainability services, commissioning, and on-site generation consulting. Previously, the leadership of the New Construction teams was held by Carmel Pratt, who has transitioned to the position of Senior Technical Advisor, where she will continue to provide essential technical expertise for both new construction and rehabilitation projects.
Adin Meir's role involves overseeing the New Construction divisions, where his focus will be on developing decarbonization strategies and enhancing building performance in new projects and existing structures undergoing rehabilitation. Under his leadership, the New Construction divisions will operate multiple professional service teams that are critical for ensuring high performance and sustainability in building projects.
Meir's approach emphasizes collaboration with developers and architects to create buildings that prioritize energy efficiency and occupant comfort. With a professional background that spans various real estate developments, he brings valuable experience and knowledge to Bright Power, particularly in new residential markets. His commitment to high-performance design not only elevates asset value and resilience but also supports regulatory compliance, ultimately driving demand from both buyers and renters.
In a statement, Meir expressed his enthusiasm for the new role, highlighting the importance of integrating high-performance design early in the construction process: "Embedding high-performance design from the earliest stages is critical to delivering resilient, energy-efficient buildings—whether luxury residences or affordable housing. I'm excited to bring my experience to the Bright Power team and help drive the transition to a climate-neutral future, one building at a time."
With over 15 years of experience in energy management and decarbonization strategies within the commercial real estate sector, Meir has a proven track record of leading organizations towards ambitious sustainability goals. His previous position as Vice President of Energy and Sustainability at the Moinian Group saw him achieve a remarkable 20% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions during his first year. Additionally, he established the inaugural Energy Practice at Codegreen Sustainability, successfully managing Sustainability and Energy Management consulting for prominent real estate firms nationwide.
Carmel Pratt, now serving as Senior Technical Advisor, is keen to apply her extensive expertise in a hands-on capacity. This transition allows her to engage directly in project execution and provide crucial technical support, ensuring enhanced outcomes for sustainability projects from the outset. Pratt expressed her excitement about returning to a more hands-on role, stating: "I'm thrilled to be back on-site, working hands-on with the sustainability services team to advance high-impact and complex projects that require strong technical insight. It was a privilege to lead the New Construction teams, and I know with Meir's expertise, the teams are poised for continued success."
