Three College Students Honored with Space to Succeed Scholarship for Community Leadership

Celebrating Community Leaders: The 2026 Space to Succeed Scholarship Winners



In a remarkable recognition of selfless service and community leadership, The Storage Center has announced its three winners for the Spring 2026 Space to Succeed Scholarship. Out of more than 2,000 applications submitted from across the nation, these students not only demonstrated their commitment to enhancing their communities but also achieved significant milestones, earning each of them a $5,000 award.

The winners include Mattison Wiley from Texarkana, Arkansas, Mattie Wisener from Arab, Alabama, and Amber Cook from Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Each of them has exhibited outstanding initiative by tackling pressing community issues without waiting for others to take action.

Meet the Winners



Mattison Wiley


Currently a freshman at the University of Central Arkansas, Mattison has been actively engaged in community service, logging over 847 hours in various areas including food insecurity, mentorship, literacy, and healthcare outreach. Notably, she spearheaded the creation of the Return to Texas High School Orthopedic Injury Checklist, a resource that assists students recovering from orthopedic injuries. In her role as Director of Community Service and Fundraising for the Rosebuds Garden Club, she organized hygiene kit drives and literacy initiatives for needy families. This upcoming summer, she will be contributing an additional 400 hours through AmeriCorps VISTA with CHRISTUS Health, advancing outreach and building capacity in underserved communities.
