Temu Partners with Latvian IT Cluster to Enhance Local Businesses
Temu, a global e-commerce platform, has announced a collaboration with the Latvian IT Cluster, committing to support the growth of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Latvia. This partnership, formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU), aims to bolster the digital business ecosystem by giving SMEs access to essential digital tools, expert knowledge, and international e-commerce opportunities.
The MoU establishes a joint initiative where Temu will work closely with the Latvian IT Cluster to facilitate programs that promote digital advancement among local businesses. This collaboration includes hosting educational webinars, conducting knowledge exchange sessions, and leveraging insights from local industry professionals. The goal is to create a pathway for Latvia's SMEs to adopt vital digital tools that enhance their market competitiveness.
On October 20, Temu and the Latvian IT Cluster successfully conducted a webinar titled “The Path to Growth: Navigating E-commerce for European SMEs.” This informative session attracted numerous local businesses and covered essential topics such as Temu’s Local Seller Program and the logistics and regulatory requirements for entering international markets. Attendees were also provided the opportunity to engage directly with Temu representatives during a Q&A segment, fostering an interactive learning environment.
Aiga Irmeja, Chair of the Board at Latvian IT Cluster, expressed enthusiasm for Temu’s involvement, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Temu as a member of the Latvian IT Cluster. The involvement of internationally recognized companies in our ecosystem creates new opportunities for Latvian businesses to gain valuable knowledge, build connections, and strengthen their competitiveness.” She emphasized the importance of this partnership in exploring e-commerce opportunities and looks forward to future joint initiatives that will support the integration of Latvian businesses into the digital economy.
Temu’s spokesperson highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating, “We want more small businesses in Latvia to benefit from the opportunities that e-commerce creates. Working with Latvian IT Cluster brings us closer to local entrepreneurs, helping us understand their needs and support their ambitions to reach new customers and grow across Europe.”
The Local Seller Program was introduced by Temu to Latvian businesses in October 2025, signaling the platform’s commitment to fostering a local presence. To further solidify their support, in March 2026, Temu signed a logistics MoU with the national postal operator Latvijas Pasts, ensuring that local sellers have efficient delivery and returns capabilities.
