The record-breaking feat involved a stunning elevation change of 5,802 meters as the IONIQ 5 traveled a whopping 4,900 kilometers from Umling La, the highest drivable point in India, located in Ladakh, down to Kuttanad in Kerala, barely above sea level.

The remarkable road trip unfolded over two weeks, during which the IONIQ 5 tackled diverse and challenging landscapes, demonstrating its robust nature in extreme weather conditions. Starting at the high-altitude Umling La, standing tall at 5,799 meters, the journey showcased the car’s remarkable electric vehicle (EV) features, including long-range capabilities and energy efficiency.
