In an effort to shape the minds of young individuals towards entrepreneurship, Persol Business Process Design Inc. has launched the 'Effecti Action' program at Hiroo Gakuen Middle School and Hiroo Gakuen Koishikawa Middle School. The company, led by President Kazuyuki Ichimura, focuses on the vision of 'working and smiling,' aiming to cultivate future talents through innovative methods.

Effectuation is a decision-making theory that organizes the thinking processes and actions seen in successful entrepreneurs. This educational program is designed to equip students not only with knowledge but also with practical skills for real-world applications.

Addressing Educational Challenges

The initiative comes amid increasing demands in the educational sector for programs that nurture students' abilities to think and act independently. At the Hiroo Gakuen schools, meeting professionals and engaging in programs that connect students with real-world experiences is deemed crucial for their development. The 'Effecti Action' program was thus created to fill this gap.

Through this innovative approach, students are exposed to concepts of value creation and are given the opportunity to experience this through practical engagements with business professionals and entrepreneurs.

Program Details

The program was carried out over two days, from October 12 to 13, with the exciting theme of 'Creating a Better Future and Changing the World.' Following a trial run in July, a total of 51 students from grades 7 to 9 participated this time. Teams of 3 to 4 students from different grades were formed to enhance their cooperative abilities while balancing listening skills and presentation confidence.

During the discussions, students brainstormed business ideas from scratch, working on customer identification, value propositions, and revenue models. The final presentations were shared with the company’s executives and employees, where students received constructive feedback, emphasizing their project's unique aspects and suggesting various promotional strategies.

Future Outlook

Persol Business Process Design is committed to building frameworks for developing the next generation of talents through educational initiatives centered around career entrepreneurship. Future plans include designing programs that leverage collaboration among schools, local communities, and businesses, as well as utilizing real-world examples of solving social issues through business.

Students expressed their excitement and appreciation for the program, with one first-year student stating, 'I learned a lot about business, and it was really fun!' A third-year student mentioned that they gained a broader understanding of social and business systems, leading to more career options. Parents shared their pride in their children's engagement and the valuable lessons learned, emphasizing the practicality of the feedback received from professionals.
