Sustainability Meets Innovation at Future Beer Garden 2026
On May 14-15, 2026, the Future Beer Garden 2026 is set to transform Otemachi into a vibrant hub of sustainability and creativity, spearheaded by Kamikatsu Town, known for its pioneering zero-waste initiative. This innovative event aims to showcase the beauty of resource circulation in urban settings, inviting participants to enjoy delicious craft beers while fostering an awareness of environmental responsibility.
The Future Beer Garden, organized by Spec Co., will illuminate the concept of sustainable enjoyment, embodying the motto: "Drink, Eat, Enjoy, and Do Good for the Environment." This event centers on providing visitors with hands-on experiences that promote resource circulation, emphasizing the interconnectedness of urban lifestyles and environmental consciousness.
A Special Exhibit: The Time Machine
One of the highlights of the event will be a special exhibit featuring a
time machine from a beloved film, presented by JEPLAN, a company committed to recycling PET materials to create sustainable products. This unique display not only represents innovation but also serves as a tangible symbol of the possibilities within resource recycling. Attendees will have the opportunity to climb into the driver's seat and take memorable photos, sparking reflection on future living and resource management.
The time machine has been converted to operate on biofuel made from recycled clothing, underscoring JEPLAN's mission to create a cycle of sustainability and echoing the event’s aim of making resource management engaging and accessible.
Craft Beer with a Purpose
In collaboration with Mitsubishi Estate, RISE & WIN Brewing Co. will unveil a special sustainable craft beer named
TOWN CRAFT -A Beer for the Future of Our Town- Yuzuka Harvest Saison. This beer symbolizes the merging of urban and local initiatives, allowing attendees to participate in zero-waste activities without ever feeling disconnected from the city.
This Saison-style craft beer boasts an alcohol content of 5.0% and is crafted using
reRise barley, which is grown using liquid fertilizer derived from composted organic waste collected from the Tokiwabashi Tower. The addition of locally sourced Yuzuka citrus gives the beer a fresh, vibrant taste that reflects the spirit of collaboration between urban lifestyles and community resources.
