Dianne Taube's New Role as Honorary Consul for Poland in the Bay Area

In a significant diplomatic advancement, Dianne Taube, who serves as the Chairman and CEO of Taube Philanthropies, has been appointed the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in the San Francisco Bay Area. This appointment was made official by Radosław Sikorski, Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, during a ceremony held in Menlo Park.

Dianne steps into this prominent role following the legacy of her late husband, Tad Taube, who had been serving as an Honorary Consul since May 2007 until his passing in September 2025. The essence of this appointment reflects not only her personal commitment to fostering bilateral relations but also her dedication to community engagement, education, and cultural exchange.

Deputy Prime Minister Sikorski highlighted Mrs. Taube's impressive track record of connecting diverse communities over the last 30 years. He stated, "Dianne Taube has spent three decades building bridges between communities through philanthropy and cultural exchange. Her commitment to Poland, especially her work within the Jewish community, makes her an outstanding choice for this honorary role."

Earlier this year, Dianne was unanimously elected by the Board of Directors of Taube Philanthropies, which signifies California’s influential family foundations, positioning the organization for a transformative era of giving and community focus. A proud Bay Area native, she graduated from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business and also holds the title of Chief Executive Officer of Taube Investments, where she manages a diverse portfolio ranging from real estate to various investments.

During her acceptance speech for the consul position, Mrs. Taube expressed her gratitude, stating, "I am deeply grateful to be named Honorary Consul. The San Francisco Bay Area and Poland share a belief that communities flourish through a blend of tradition and progress. This shared spirit has bound my family to Poland and inspires the future work ahead."
