Nakheel Allocates Over AED 3.5 Billion for 544 Villas on Palm Jebel Ali

In a significant development for the Emirate's real estate landscape, Nakheel, part of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has announced the awarding of contracts valued at more than AED 3.5 billion. This investment will support the construction of 544 luxurious villas on the iconic Palm Jebel Ali. The contracts have been awarded to notable construction firms, Ginco General Contracting L.L.C and United Engineering Construction (UNEC).

Details of the Construction

The construction endeavor will see Ginco General Contracting take on the responsibility of building 354 villas across Fronds A to D. Simultaneously, United Engineering Construction will handle the construction of 190 villas spanning Fronds E and F. Construction is expected to kick-off within this quarter, with an ambitious completion timeline targeting the fourth quarter of 2028.

Khalid Al Malik, the Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding Real Estate, commented on this milestone, stating, "The awarding of these contracts signals tangible progress in the delivery of Palm Jebel Ali, with construction now progressing across multiple fronds. As momentum continues to build, Palm Jebel Ali represents one of the most significant expansions of Dubai's urban coastline in a generation and will play a key role in supporting the emirate's long-term growth, further strengthening its global appeal as a great place to live, invest and visit."

A New Era for Palm Jebel Ali

Palm Jebel Ali is more than just a construction project; it represents a crucial expansion of Dubai's urban coastline and will play an integral role in shaping the emirate's future. Spanning across seven islands over a total distance of 13.4 kilometers, with 16 designated fronds and an impressive 90 kilometers of beachfront, Palm Jebel Ali is set to become a premier waterfront destination. The project aligns seamlessly with the objectives outlined in the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which reinforces the emirate's ambition for sustainable, high-quality communities.

Moreover, the contract awards mark significant progress in the masterplan for Palm Jebel Ali, following the recent introduction of the Beach and Coral Collection villas, which were developed in collaboration with leading international architects. This initiative aims to offer an elevated expression of island living that combines modern architecture, vibrant community life, and the comforts of resort-style amenities.

Enhancing Community Infrastructure

As part of its commitment to creating a holistic living environment, Palm Jebel Ali will introduce additional community infrastructure. A 9,000 square meter retail center is planned, alongside a Friday Mosque designed by the esteemed firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. This mosque will accommodate up to 1,000 worshippers, serving not only residents but also visitors to this vibrant new community.

Overall, with these new contracts and developments, Palm Jebel Ali is on track to become one of the most desirable addresses in Dubai, merging luxury living with innovative architectural solutions. It reflects Dubai's ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence in urban development, promising a future that is not just about living but thriving in an enviable coastal paradise.

For those interested in luxury residences in one of the world’s most dynamic cities, Palm Jebel Ali is a project that needs to be watched closely as it unfolds over the coming years. With the construction of these new villas, Nakheel is propelling Dubai's real estate market into a promising new chapter.
