Made Scientific Launches State-of-the-Art Cell Therapy Manufacturing Facility in New Jersey

Grand Opening of Made Scientific's New Facility

Made Scientific, a prominent U.S.-based organization specializing in cell therapy contract development and manufacturing, has officially inaugurated its new flagship facility located in Princeton, New Jersey. The 60,000 square foot Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facility represents a significant investment in the future of biomanufacturing and cell therapy innovation.

On August 14, 2025, a ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the grand opening, attended by state officials including New Jersey Department of Labor Commissioner, Robert Asaro-Angelo, and Assemblywoman Tennille McCoy, among others. The ceremony featured the presence of U.S. Senator Andy Kim and Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman, who contributed a proclamation recognizing this milestone.

This new facility not only demonstrates Made Scientific's commitment to the growth of cell therapy but also adds to New Jersey's reputation as a leader in advanced biomanufacturing. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy emphasized the positive impact on local employment, citing that the facility creates good-paying, high-quality jobs for residents. Mayor of Plainsboro, Edmund Yates, echoed this sentiment, stating that the decision of Made Scientific to establish its headquarters and manufacturing plant in his municipality reinforces the strength of the local workforce and is a significant move for other pharma and biotech companies.

The opening embodies a $12 million initial investment that has enhanced the facility through upgrades and the incorporation of advanced technologies to streamline operations. This venture positions Made Scientific to meet the growing global demand for cell therapies while establishing a robust manufacturing capacity. Excitingly, a second phase of development is already in the pipeline, anticipating the addition of over 100 skilled jobs as the company expands its influence within the industry.

Syed T. Husain, Chairman and CEO of Made Scientific, remarked, "This facility is a clear signal of our commitment to this incredible industry and to this region." He emphasized the facility's role in supporting companies innovating within the cell therapy sector, stating their aim to provide comprehensive support from clinical to commercial manufacturing.

The state-of-the-art Princeton facility boasts impressive infrastructure, including five ISO 7 or Grade B cleanrooms, comprehensive quality control labs, and dedicated capabilities for process and analytical development. Moreover, Made Scientific has implemented cutting-edge digital frameworks, including Oracle NetSuite and Veeva Systems, which will facilitate efficient enterprise resource planning and quality management practices.

In alignment with its expansion strategy, Made Scientific also unveiled plans for a subsequent 12,000 square-foot enhancement of GMP cleanroom space. This expansion is designed to comply with U.S. FDA and EU Annex 1 standards, incorporating automated and high-throughput technologies. This continuous growth aims to boost output significantly by enabling an increase of up to 2,000 batches annually, thus supporting late-phase and commercial programs.

Made Scientific is committed to advancing its infrastructure while retaining focus on development and delivery of innovative therapies. Their mission—"Defy limits, deliver results"—holds true as they strive to serve their partners in bringing life-changing treatments to patients efficiently and responsibly. Through collaboration, innovation, and robust manufacturing capabilities, Made Scientific stands poised at the forefront of the biotherapy evolution.
