ChangAn Automobile Pioneering Smart Mobility Innovations in Europe with Dubhe 2.0

On March 21, 2025, at a prestigious event in Munich, ChangAn Automobile presented its ambitious plans for advancing sustainable mobility in Europe through the launch of the Dubhe 2.0 initiative. The company is renowned for its innovative approach to low-carbon mobility technology and is committed to addressing the growing need for efficient travel solutions that align with environmental goals.

Since the inception of the Dubhe 1.0 plan back in 2018, ChangAn has been at the forefront of developing smart vehicles, striving to establish a new era of intelligent mobility. Under the Dubhe 1.0 framework, the company achieved critical milestones that include achieving complete vehicle connectivity in all new models launched since 2020 and integrating advanced driver-assistance systems into every new product. Furthermore, ChangAn has made significant advancements in autonomous driving technology, securing a groundbreaking position within the industry with its Level 3 autonomy certification in China.

As of now, the Dubhe 2.0 plan enables ChangAn to realize significant breakthroughs in intelligent control systems and smart interaction technologies, facilitating the evolution of sustainable mobility solutions tailored for the European market. The company’s vision extends beyond mere innovation; it aims to create intelligent vehicles that provide an intuitive driving experience catered to user needs. This includes a dual strategy of independent innovation paired with collaborative development to make smart vehicles accessible to everyone in this new technological era.

In a bold move towards the future, starting in 2025, ChangAn will no longer develop traditional vehicles, thereby affirming its commitment to intelligent transformation. This marks a critical transition point as the company amplifies its investment in research and development focusing on next-generation battery technology. The latest battery model, fully equipped with semiconductor technology, boasts an energy density of up to 400 Wh/kg and an impressive range of over 1500 kilometers on a full charge. With the implementation of AI-driven remote diagnostics derived from extensive testing data in China, the safety of these batteries is enhanced by 70%, aiming to mitigate the risks typically associated with liquid batteries. A functional prototype of this semiconductor battery is slated for showcase by the end of 2025, with installation and verification acts planned for 2026 and expected serial production beginning in 2027.

Additionally, ChangAn has developed a cutting-edge software-defined architecture (SDA) that facilitates a central circular network, which has already entered mass production and is being rolled out with the CHANG-AN E07 model. This model features a remarkable design and incorporates advanced functionality, making it an exemplary showcase of the smart mobility shift ChangAn is leading.

At the event, the new DEEPAL S07 model made its European debut, illustrating advanced functionalities aimed at enhancing comfort, safety, and luxury for users. Notable features include a 15.6-inch adjustable touchscreen, compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an augmented reality heads-up display (AR-HUD). Safety is further augmented by a comprehensive 360-degree camera system, a driving recorder, and an innovative ground view system, while smart gesture recognition ensures a seamless and intuitive user journey.

As ChangAn commits to entering the European market, it does so with a determination to support low-carbon sustainable travel initiatives. The company aims to lead the evolution of future mobility solutions through its technological innovations while providing European consumers with effective and eco-friendly transportation options. The integration of advanced technologies into their vehicle lineup marks a new chapter in the future of mobility, making ChangAn a key player in the European automotive landscape.
